The Story behind the book
Back in 2020 I wanted to achieve something from my lengthy bucket list. Scrolling through each item one popped out at me.
“Write a book.”
Little did I know that that one sentence would open a world of opportunities for me. As well as set me on the path up a rocky, difficult and rewarding mountain of knowledge.
If you think writing a book is easy, let me stop you right there. As one who has walked the road of an New Author with only her spunky attitude and the web to guide her. It is not easy. Not easy at all.
Whatever part of you says this will be fun. That part is true. Although be prepared to find out how much you really want this book to happen. Book creating is not cheap, easy or for the faint of heart.
Buying your business license, buying the right illustrator or creating your own illustrations. Writing, editing. Re-writing and final soul crushing loong edits. 😱 Yeah you better be prepared.

Gosh it was such a long hard road, and still is. Mind you I’ve written several books, just haven’t published them yet. Publishing books, that’s it’s own world of hurt to navigate.
HAHA Have I scared you yet? Well sorry but I want readers, and new authors to understand why books can cost more than they seem worthy of. Or why some books turn out better than others. So on and so on. Being an author is hard work, and a work of love.
Which is why my first published book is truly one from the heart for me.
My Mom inspired “Grandma’s Magic Blanket”. She sews specialized fuzzy warm blankets for her grandbabies. Picking the material, cutting it into the right pattern, sewing it together. Once the newest member of the family arrives, she gifts the blanket. I watched my Mom make these blankets for years without really understanding how much love is crafted into each blanket for her babies. It’s amazing, and I am honored to share my very first published children’s book with you all. Inspired and dedicated to my Mom.

The book is narrated from the perspective of the soon-to-be-born baby inside her Mothers womb. Hearing all about her family and something called a blanket. The baby loses patience, deciding it’s time to be born!! And we all know what that means.
Time to meet the family and find out what a blanket is.
Toddlers and beginner readers will enjoy the bright illustrations and large text.
Moms will love this book because it’s family friendly, joyful and give the kiddos a little insight as to the baby Mommy carries in her tummy for 9 months.
It’s a short story, you know for when it’s the nightly favorite and needs to be read about a Million times. Short sweet and simple. haha I gotcha Momma’s and Pappa’s. 😉😁

I don’t mean to brag, but I have to a little right? Personally I love how the book brings Grandma and her daughter closer at the end. Both bringing something special together and creating that unique bound. It’s magical!
