Top 3 Author Energy Go-To’s
Coffee is not my #1
Hello Dear Readers~
Winter season is coming. That means the nights are longer, the sunlight hours are short.
These gloomier days make life less productive for me and seasonal depression is a very real struggle for many people including myself.
In order to combat this I have a few energy boosters I use to help me get through this all. Who knows it might help you too.
Go-To for Energy
Fizz sticks
Arbonne product, clean energy, takes about 30 minutes to an hour for me to feel the energy start. For me, helps me focus my energy on the bigger tasks at hand without a sugar crash around noon.
I usually buy my fizz from a friend of mine who’s an Arbonne rep. Otherwise I go to Arbonne.com and buy as a guest.
Fizz Facts
- Usually going for $45 to $50 per box.
- 30 fizzies per box
- over 5 fun delicious flavors to choose from
- My favorite flavors are citrus, blood orange and pinapple.
- You need only 3/4 cup of water in a normal glass to activate the fizz and not spill over
- feels like a mini science project when you activate the fizz with water.
- fizz can pair with water, shakes, greens, juice and tea.
Pure Boost
This drink powder acts similar to the fizz sticks.
I usually buy these from Amazon. So far that’s been the cheapest place to purchase them at.
Pure Boost Facts
- Usually going for $25 to $30 per box.
- 30 sticks per box
- fizzes with water activation but not as much as Arbonne fizz sticks
- These comes in 3 fun flavors: acia alert, berry boost, citrus sunsrise
- combo pack is an option
- pairs best with water or juices.
Tea
Ahhh yes tea. The “flavored grass” as my sister calls it. HAHA no she does not like tea.
I enjoy a cup of tea once in a while or especially when I’m sick. From green tea with lemon, to green tea, peppermint, earl grey, and lemon ginger tea. Add some honey and it makes a cozy drink with a mild energy boost.
Tea Facts
- Usually going for $3 to $20 depending on brand and quality
- ginger tea with honey and lemon is amazing!!
- some tea have natural caffeine like green tea
- slightly healthier than the above drinks
- cheaper, easier to access and many many tea options to try
Coffee
Coffee is energy with a small sugar crash depending on the drink I buy. It’s no doubt a treat drink for me. Which gets the dopamine juices flowing that increase my energy. *Happy dance*
My routine
At work, first a sip or two of water.
1 fizz stick activated with a small amount of water so the fizz doesn’t overflow. (if I have my greens powder I toss that in with my fizz stick.)
A full water bottle. Tea or coffee to change up the boring water. (sorry water sometimes you are boring.) Then I usually take my vitamins with Greek yogurt. I have a hard time swallowing pills, my gag reflex is too good haha.
About 12 to 2pm is struggle bus normally. I eat lunch, and if needed at 2 pm I will take another fizz stick or pure boost.
I don’t keep to this everyday, but 90% of the week this is my normal routine.
Dear Readers I hope you found this helpful. Remember that enjoying life comes in many ways, sometimes it’s being super healthy, sometimes it’s balancing the sugar coffee with greens and fizz.
Take it one day at a time and I hope you all have a lovely Thanksgiving Holiday!
2 books down, and who knows how many more to come.
